A PROFILE OF PROF NILOFER SULTANA
She retired as Associate Professor for Economics from F.G College for Women Rawalpindi. Her publications are: -
(a) Five novels in Urdu.
(b) Two novels in English, one of which was published in England.
(c) Two books of English poetry.
(d) Six books for children.
(e) She has contributed articles (Literary, political and socio-economic), short stories, travelogues, poems, book reviews etc. to various newspapers and magazines like Dawn, News, Nation, Chaharsoo, Women's Own, Pakistan Link (California USA). Some of the poems are being published in various anthologies in the USA.
(f) Holder of three awards:
• Poet of the Year,
• Poet of Merit, medals and certificates by the International Society of Poets (Mary Land USA).
• Won Woman of the Year (1999) award in Litrature from the South Asian Society.
• All six books for children have been awarded by the National Book Foundation Islamabad |
